Photo Bomb!

Thanks for checking out the latest edition of Photo Bomb!, your weekly roundup of all movie-related photos floating around the internet.

This week there definitely wasn't a lack of material to display, as we actually started to see some stuff from newer projects and not just more from "The Expendables 2" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" - but yes, we do still have some new stuff from the latter. Otherwise, new photos cropped up for films such as "A Good Day to Die Hard", "Riddick", "Lawless", "Spring Breakers", "DREDD", "Anna Karenina", "Now You See Me", "Passion", and "Maniac", and "Prometheus". There are also two new promo photos for "The Amazing Spider-Man". And we have a handful of new posters releases from films like Resident Evil: Retribution", "G.I. Joe: Retaliation", and "This is 40".

No real off-set stuff this week, so hopefully the photos that are actually related to the films will be enough to get you through the post this week. If not, well, it was a good run while it lasted.

Hit the jump to check out the entire filmstrip of movie photos and posters.

First, let's start with the few set photos from the recently-started "A Good Day to Die Hard". This is film number five for the franchise, and what could shape up to unfortunately be the worst of the bunch. The director of the film is John Moore ("Max Payne"), and the script was written by Skip Woods ("X-Men Origins: Wolverine"). So I'm not entirely pumped for this film, but I'm never going to completely turn away from John McClane taking out a few more bad guys! The photos don't offer much right now, just some standard production shots. (FilmStage)

Next it's a photo of Vin Diesel in the upcoming "Riddick", the follow-up to "The Chronicles of Riddick" and third live-action film of the series. I remember seeing "Pitch Black" in theaters and being completely bored with it. It was a group thing and I didn't choose. I've never had much interest in the series, but it definitely has its followers. Plus at least he gets a sweet staff for this movie! (Facebook)

These are from the film "Lawless". The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Guy Pearce, and Gary Oldman. The movie takes place during the Depression-Era, and centers around a group of bootleggers fighting with authorities. This one is set to hit theaters August 31, 2012. (Kinopoisk)

These photos from "Spring Breakers", a film starring James Franco, Selena Gomez, and Vanessa Hudgens. The film follows a group of college girls on spring break, get arrested for robbing from a restaurant, get bailed out by a drug dealer (Franco), and as repayment, are demanded to do some of the drug dealer's dirty work. I have zero idea of what to expect from this movie. Is it a complete joke, or is this actually going to be gritty and surprise people? Either way, you can tell by the marketing that they're just trying to put guys in the seats. Below are the two newest photos, but check this link for a whole slew of photos released by the film. And don't worry, I checked, they're all over 18.. (Collider)

Here are the first photos I've seen for the "Judge Dredd" remake, "DREDD". Hopefully this film can live up to what the original film did for me back in 1995. Karl Urban in the lead is a good start, as I think he'll do well with this role. I like the style of this too and look of these photos. We'll get to check this out out in theaters September 21, 2012. (Latino Review)

This is the first photo we have for the Keira Knightley film, "Anna Karinina". This is another period film by Knightley, but already people are talking about the awards potential this might have, even including Best Picture. (The Playlist).

This is another film in which this is the first we're seeing of it, "Now You See Me". This one stars Isla Fisher, Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine. It's a hiest movie about a group of illusionists who pull off jobs during their performances and share the wealth with their audiences. Sounds neat to me. I can't wait for more photos - or a trailer. (USA Today)

This is also the first photo from the set of Brian DePalma's latest, "Passion". This one won't be hitting theaters until sometime next year, but with a cast that includes Rachel McAdams, Noomi Rapace, and Dominic Carter, and a story surrounding a business woman who plots her murderous revenge after her boss steals her idea, this one looks like it could be interesting. And we know DePalma will be able to work with this kind of story ("Scarface", "The Untochables", "Carlito's Way", "Mission: Impossible"). (The Playlist)

Next we have three new photos for this Elijah Wood-starring remake, "Maniac". This film revolved around a serial killer (Wood) who is obsessed with scalps. A loner, he also runs a drab mannequin shop. Things change though when he meets a woman and takes his obsession to a whole new level. I'd be interested in this type of film anyway, but the fact there are solid filmmakers all-around working on this project lead me to believe this won't just be our everyday Serial Killer film. (The Playlist)

Here we have 17 photos from the soon-to-be-released, "Prometheus". This is Ridley Scott's semi-prequel to "Alien". This film looks fantastic from everything we've seen (maybe a little too much...), and it's no surprise it sits the top most of our Most Anticipated of 2012 lists. (Entertainment Weekly)

On to our Promo Photo section. We only have one film today with new promos, and that's "The Amazing Spider-Man" again. Kind of neat photos that feature Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. This one hits theaters July 3, 2012. (ComingSoon)

And finally, let's wrap it up with a few movie posters. First, this quad-poster for "Resident Evil: Retribution". I know, I didn't know there was another Resident Evil movie coming out either... The pixel quality of this one isn't amazing, but you can still get an idea of the scope for this film. I'm not sure I've seen all of these movies, but isn't that kind of the thing? Each film gets a little more out of control and widens the affected area? I don't know. Glad the core cast is still intact in this fifth installment now. (MoviesOnline)

If you haven't seen enough already, here's another poster for "G.I. Joe: Retaliation". They claim this is the last poster for the film, but we'll see. I have my doubts.. (ComingSoon)

And last but not least, the first poster for Judd Apatow's sort-of sequel to "Knocked Up", "This is 40". I'm glad they focused on these characters for the sequel, as they were one of the few aspects I liked from the previous film. The poster looks good, and stepping away from the setting, Leslie Mann looks really good here (as she almost always does). (ScreenCrush)

Okay, I guess I'll throw you a little bonus sample this week, even though I told you I wouldn't - but only because these just popped up and I think they look really cool. But below is some of the concept art from "The Avengers". There are a handful of scenes, which, if you've seen the movie, you'll see right where they fit in. These were done by artists Nathan Schroeder and Steve Jung. I think these look wonderful, this first one especially. I'd love to have a framed print of that.

What do you guys think of everything? Not a ton of exciting photos per say, but there's a lot of stuff that we're seeing for the first time from projects. Anything about give you interest that you might not have even been familiar with before?
