Photo Bomb!

Thanks for checking out the latest edition of Photo Bomb!, your weekly roundup of all movie-related photos and posters floating around the internet.

In photos this week we have new content from "All You Need Is Kill", "Transformers 4", "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes", "Promised Land", "Les Miserables", "Movie 43", "Thor: The Dark World", "The Hangover Part III", "Hitchcock", and "Oz: The Great and Powerful"

In the movie posters department, we're looking at new ones for films "Oz: The Great and Powerful", "Django Unchained", "The Last Stand", "Warm Bodies", "Red Dawn", and "Gambit".

Before we dive into all of this great, new material, I want to note that this will be the last Photo Bomb! post scheduled for the foreseeable future. We still plan to bring you plenty of new photos and movie posters as they hit, but having everything grouped into one weekly post will be no more. We may revisit it again someday - and maybe even another writer will pick it up - but for now, consider this the last installment of this series. I hope you've enjoyed it.

We start with the first image released for "All You Need Is Kill". Here we see Tom Cruise in a giant mechanical suit, running from an explosion. The film feels something like "Source Code", but with big guns and aliens. Cruise's character dies in battle and is stuck in a time loop, continually reliving the day of his death - and of course getting more skilled in combat with each day. This definitely looks like a fun one though. It doesn't get its release until March of 2014. (Total Film)

Not much of a picture, but this is the official logo for Michael Bay's "Transformers 4". In short, I hate it. It looks really lame. Recently, we heard that Mark Wahlberg signed on to star in the film, which will take place a few years after the third. Most of the cast from the previous films will not return for this sequel/reboot hybrid. I don't really have many expectations for the film, but I'll still be interested to see what it has to offer. Here's another "logo", this one "unofficial", but released on the film's Facebook page. "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" is set to release in May of 2014, and the image was posted with the caption “Evolution Becomes Revolution.”. I quite enjoyed the last film; I'll be intrigued to see what they do with the sequel. (Facebook)

"Promised Land" looks like a solid flick that I'll be able to enjoy, even though these pictures aren't anything exciting. Matt Damon and John Krasinski teamed-up to write the script, and Damon's "Good Will Hunting" director, Gus Van Sant, is directing. Seems like a good combination to me. (Collider)

I'm over "Les Miserables" already. The cast looks great, and I'm sure it will be a riveting re-telling of the classic tale, but I just have little interest in such a drab musical. These hi-res images for Vogue Magazine sure do look nice though! (Vogue)

Here are a few more random images from the comedy "Movie 43". I've noted in the past the countless stars that will be appearing in the film, and it's a massive grouping. I'm intrigued by this Kentucky Fried Movie-esque compilation. Lots of great names involved both in front of and behind the camera. The film hits theaters January 25, 2013. (Collider)

Next we have a handful of new images for "Thor :The Dark World". In the first half we have mostly shots of Thor himself, looking pretty much as we remember him, but we also have some images of these guys called Dark Elves. I'm not familiar with the Thor storylines - anyone know if these will be sweet opponents? (ComicBookMovie & MTV)

These are some behind-the-scenes images from "The Hangover Part III". We get a pretty good look at most all involved parties here, including that of John Goodman (this guy is popping up in everything lately!). The cast and crew has said this will be the last of the series, and that's probably a good thing, since it was stale after five minutes of the second film. Hopefully they'll be able to rejuvenate it here. The film gets its release May 24, 2013. (Instagram)

Here are some more from "Hitchcock". I'm loving the style of this film, and I think I'm more interested in all of the side characters than Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock himself - though I am curious to see what this man was like. (The Playlist)

These are some new images from Sam Raimi's "Oz: The Great and Powerful". I'm still not sold on the film, but hopefully Raimi can make it work. And if nothing else, there definitely are lots of pretty ladies in the film, so that can't be bad! (USA Today)

On to the Movie Posters section, where we continue on with "Oz: The Great and Powerful". This banner is just a compilation of some of the previously released posters, but it does look nice. The film will hit theaters March 8, 2013. (Yahoo! Movies)

Here's the first "theater poster" released for Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained". We've seen other teaser posters and character banners, but this is the first release of the actual theater poster. It looks all right. I don't love it, but I also don't see a lot wrong with it. The black, white and red color pallet is nice. (Filmofilia)

The latest poster for "The Last Stand" includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Johnny Knoxville, and a huge gun. Knoxville's presence in the latest trailer was much less annoying than in the first (even though he was barely in it), so hopefully he won't take too much away from the action. Overall I've said it before though: if Arnold Schwarzenegger is in an action film, I'm watching it. This looks like fun. It hits theaters January 18, 2013. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Here's new poster for "Warm Bodies", which, judging by the trailer, looks much better than I expected. It still looks like it's for a bit younger audience than myself, but it looks fairly witty, and not nearly as emo (when's the last time we heard that word, 2005?) as the first poster suggested. I'm not saying this will necessarily be a theater visit for me down the road, but I've "warmed up" to this film more than I expected I would. It gets its release February 1, 2013. The newest poster for the "Red Dawn" remake is pretty neat. Kind of that graffiti look we've been seeing a lot of recently, and it really works for me. I love the play on the American flag imagery. The new film, starring Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Adrienne Palicki, and Isabel Lucas hits theaters next week, November 21, 2012. (IMP Awards)

Finally, a neat retro poster for "Gambit" (another remake). I really like this plot, and two-thirds of this cast are great. I wish someone other than Cameron Diaz were in that third spot, but hopefully she'll do better than I expect. This poster is pretty well done, and it seems like a good match for this type of film. The heist film also opens on November 21, 2012. (SkyMovies)
