When a film stars the likes of Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Leslie Mann, Chris O'Dowd, and others, you know there are going to be plenty of laughs to be had. Add on top of that the comedic stylings of producer and director Judd Apatow, and there's no limit to where it can end. Unfortunately, while Apatow's latest feature, "This Is 40", may have been his most well-rounded feature to date, it wasn't exactly his funniest. There were plenty of stories about the film's production though, and one can only imagine some of the content that didn't make the film. Now, thanks to Funny or Die, we get a small taste of just what that content was. The website recently posted a blooper reel featuring various clip and scenes, a few of which eventually made the film, but most did not.
Personally, I'd rather watch a two-hour clip of these comics and their outtakes than just about any comedy movie out there. These people are all hilarious, and you can just see how good of a time they were having on set.
The clip, featured after the break, comes in at just under four minutes, though it feels like less than one.
Did this give you guys plenty of laughs? You just know there's hours more of footage just like this, collecting dust somewhere. My hope is that when this one finally releases on Blu-ray we'll get an extended cut of the bloopers and deleted scenes.
