Who out there loves custom movie artwork? If you're like most of us, then you do. And leading the way in this department these days is the company Mondo. Notoriously known for last-minute, limited-edition prints, the company is leading the way in movie and television inspired posters and prints. And what a better way to start off the new year than with these just-announced prints for both "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial" and "Jaws". Both will be available in limited quantity at some point tomorrow.
Artists Laurent Durieux and Mike Mitchell offered up their talents for these posters. The E.T. print is far and away my favorite, because not only does it feature one of the most iconic scenes in movie history, it also is a film that resonated much more with my childhood than "Jaws" did.
After the break you'll find all of the specifics, including full images of each poster, quantities available, pricing info, and, of course, where and how you can pick them up!
First, the overview of what you can expect here. The best way to stay up-to-date with this release is by following Mondo's Twitter feed. A tweet will go out the moment these posters go on sale, and that's the best way to try and catch them before they sell out. Historically, Mondo has released very limited numbers of their prints, with only the first few able to get their hands on them. This time around, it appears that both have decent print sizes, so if you pay attention, you should have the ability to snag one or both.
Here are the details on each poster. First, E.T., which was created by Mike Mitchell:
The size is 36x24", and there will be 475 available at $45 a pop.
This one has inverted dimensions, 24x36", and will have 525 units available, though the price will be a little higher for this one, at $60 each.
I love the artwork, and I think I will be purchasing at least the E.T. print tomorrow if I'm able. Either of these strike your fancy?
